Avery Singletary (b. 2007) is a jazz pianist and rising young composer who resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Avery has a number of compositions for wind band, orchestra, jazz big band, and various chamber ensembles. He is an active arranger/show designer for both high school and collegiate marching bands. Avery performs jazz piano with several groups around the DFW area, and he has performed with jazz legends such as Mike Williams, Alex Iles, and Wycliffe Gordon.

Avery has arranged music and collaborated to arrange music for schools including, Keller High School (TX), Lake Nona High School (FL), Lincoln High School (FL), Gulf Breeze High School (FL), Auburndale High School (FL), Leon High School (FL), Florida State University, Michigan State University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Kennesaw State University (GA), Eastern Michigan University, and Western Michigan University.

Avery’s works have been performed by The Eastern Michigan University Symphonic Band, North Central Texas Winds, and the Keller High School Wind Ensemble; his piece “Daydreaming” was premiered by The Keller High School Trombone Ensemble at the International Trombone Festival in May 2024.
